The single-phase and primary pulsed LÜTZE switching power supply unit can be set on the output side in a voltage range of 23-27.5 V and also has a AC-wide range input of 88-264 V. It stands out thanks to its extraordinarily compact form with dimensions of just 35 x 100 x 110 mm. The above-average efficiency level is greater than 93%. With improved over-voltage protection, the PFC ‘Power Factor Correction’ and the fault message output are some of the highlights of the LCOS switching power supply. The LÜTZE switching power supply unit can be switched on the output side via the Remote channel and has a high output reserve thanks to the Power Boost of 150%. It is very easy to configure the parallel operation of several power switching units via the Downslope characteristic curve. All LÜTZE LCOS-PS switching power supply units from 30 to 120 Watt have a standard housing structure and are designed for use in the modular LÜTZE housing system LCOS or also in the conventional top hat rail (TS 35 EN 50022). The 120 Watt switching power supply was designed for use in the machine and system construction sector, in process and control equipment, in telecommunications, and renewable energy applications, in short wherever high availability is required.

Optionally, the LÜTZE LCOS-PSI 120 switching power supply unit can be operated on an internal data or energy bus of the LÜTZE LCOS housing system. A Sense connection for automatic voltage adjustment can also be installed as an option.

The LÜTZE switching power supply can be used within a temperature range of -25 °C to +50 °C without derating. The 120 Watt power supply complies with protection class IP 20 (IEC529, EN60529) and complies with various national and international standards: UL, cUL, UL 508, IEC 950, CE: EN 60950, CE: EN 61000-6-2 (2005), CE: EN 61000-6-4 (2007), CE: EN 61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/11, CE: EN 61000-5-5, CE: EN 50178, CE: EN 6155.

Background
The LÜTZE LCOS housing system

The LCOS from LÜTZE is a IP20 housing system that can be used for both single housings or as a stand-alone solution; it can also be expanded into a complete and modular I/O system via the toll-free connection of data or energy modules. The LCOS electronic housing is based on a device carrier that holds the separate housings or the plug-in function units. The patented four-wire bus allows the field side to be supplied with up to 16 A of nominal current per conductor. This facilitates the realisation of three-phase functions with an operating voltage of 500 V or also 24 V applications with a current load of DC 64 A.
